Horse people are a rare breed, and few are more special than Gini Quade. Guided and tutored by legendary Grand Prix competitors Leslie McDonald and Charlotte Bayley, as well as Francois LeMaire du Ruffieu of the prestigious Cadre Noir riding academy in France, today Gini is recognized for her own approach to horsemanship, to teaching, and as an ambassador to the equestrian world. Her stage is the incomparable Palmetto Bluff Longfield Stables, its cross country jumping and riding fields and trails that meander the Bluff’s 20,000 acres. Here Gini and her team provide a safe and fun environment for all levels and disciplines. The goal is thinking, feeling riders capable of using the classical principles – development of a correct, balanced and effective seat and position. Students are taught to listen to, and understand the mind of the horse, and the mechanics of the horse’s gaits and movement, the wondrous result being a harmonious partnership between horse and rider.

At Longfield Stables, our goal is to provide a welcoming, safe, educational environment for horse lovers of all ages and abilities.  Whether it’s your first ride or you are a life-long horse lover, you will feel at home at Longfield Stables. There, Equestrian Manager Gini Quade provides a safe and fun riding environment for all levels and disciplines of riders. Her objective is to develop thinking, feeling riders who are capable of riding and training their horses using the classical principles of horsemanship. She emphasizes the development of a correct, balanced and effective seat and position. Students are taught to listen to, and understand the mind of the horse, and the mechanics of the horse’s gaits and movement. This enables her students to effectively communicate with their horses, resulting in a harmonious partnership between horse and rider.

Gini Quade is a lifelong equestrian with over 30 years of horse experience. Gini’s riding career, and subsequently her teaching and training methods were developed and refined over that time as she trained under a number of different instructors, and benefited from the immeasurable patience and talent of a wide variety of schoolmasters. She has had the privilege of working closely with Grand Prix competitors Leslie McDonald and Charlotte Bayley, as well as with Francois LeMaire du Ruffieu of the prestigious Cadre Noir riding academy in France. Gini herself has competed successfully in both dressage and jumpers, and in 1993 earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Equestrian Studies from Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio.
